- i'm natalie, but most people who know me call me noodle.
- they/them
- 27
- new englander
- my day job is being a mechanical engineer
- but really i spend most of my time and energy writing miles and miles of gay science fiction. and occasionally other stuff. afaik most people who have read it say it's pretty good!
- [take these dates with a grain of salt that failing childhood memory requires] my primary internet journey is like neopets (2006-2008ish) -> roleplaying forums (2007-2009) -> subeta & deviantart (2009-2010) -> tumblr (2010-present) -> royalroad (2018-2019) -> ao3 (2020-present) -> twitter (2020-present). livejournal and its ilk are distinctly not in this list, so you will have to forgive me for not knowing cultural norms around here
- i'm looking for a place to put longform content that isn't my fiction writing (even if it is meta on my fiction writing). i love to see other people's process and thoughts on process ("how the sausage gets made") and in the interest of entertaining kindred spirits i'd like to post about my own process for various random things
- also idk if i have a place to post longform thoughts, maybe i'll start having more longform thoughts to post. a tool learns to justify its own existence
- might be good to keep a "things i did this week" log
- i'm also just always in the market to make friends and talk to people. so.
- idk
- clearly, when i'm procrastinating on actually writing
- tumblr @javert , sideblog for reblogging weird objects @otherobjects , aesthetic sideblog @nataliespicture
- twitter @natsinator , or priv for friends @natvonleigh
- discord dms @ javert#5104 or my personal server horseradish road
- ao3 @natsinator
- royalroad @javert
- my carrd that i update about once a year but that does have a fairly robust summary of work @ gayspaceopera.carrd.co
- i have other internet presences as well and crosspost my nonsense in random places but like. not enough that it makes sense to list them all out here lmao.
- tumblr is not great for longform content and twitter is even worse
- i like to navel-gaze
- this seems like a chill place that i could get used to. and if i don't, no harm no foul
